Pretty Utensils

I don't know about you but I have a great inclination to believe my food will taste better just by using pretty utensils. Let's face it foolks when you eat something "good looking" you tend to think it is "good tasting" too. Otherwise, you just paid $37 for that orderve...and that just doesn't feel good, does it?

These utensils were designed by Iceland genius Sóley Þórisdóttir using the combination of aluminum and steel stamps. Although the function of these simple tools have not changed much, their forms have sure taken on many looks to make a bold statement on your table setting.

NAKED2 PALETTE

I know...you are looking for this everywhere. You must be slightly blue assuming that you have not found it. BUT, I come bearing good news for your make-up addiction. NAKED2 will be available at Ulta in Roseville January 26, but count on the 28th. WHICH by the way happens to be an event which Eric, THE head artist of urban decay will be present.

NAKED2 includes an amazing double-ended brush that most people paid $26 PER END. And lucky you, you get both. This is an appropriate time to jump and scream. The top palette is the NAKED2 palette. It has cooler tones of browns and taupe along with my favorite "must haves" ambers, matte creams, and matte black (a definite necessity).

Paper Flowers? Ohhh yes.

I am obsessed with these paper flowers. Flowers has always been a passion of mine mostly because my mom is such a wonderful florists. Of course she mostly worked with fresh flowers (which can be difficult as you can imagine). Fresh flowers do not come perfectly bloomed. It's rather a science really to time the blooming of various flowers by the time of delivery. How my mom always mastered this baffles me. Keeping the different flowers alive through a wedding day...that's another story. But these PAPER FLOWERS, they are breathtaking. They can bring elegance to any place. They are fun and untraditional.

Sarah's Summer Blush Color

As many people know I am a make-up junkie. Some people collect stamps or soda cans, I collect make-up. Why you ask? Well, why not? I love colors. You prefer to paint on canvas and I I'd prefer to paint on your face. It's just that simple. Today, I decided to stop at Arden on the way home from church with my sister [Sophia hates this mall]. I stopped at MAC since my lovely friend Amanda [from Ulta] gave me a giftcard for my birthday [ohhh the irony]. But truth betold, us make-up junkies do not discriminate. So...the miracle happened when I discovered..."Alpha Girl." It is the most beautiful peach-pink blush, and here's the kicker...it's matte! I adore all things matte [meaning non-shiny for all you newbies]. I think matte looks classy on anyone. If you have ever seen a person with outrageous shiny white eye shadow under their brow bone, you will appreciate my love for matte looks [this is not to say I don't occasionally where glittery, metallics, or colors with a sheen]. Nevertheless, "Alpha Girl" is my new obsession this summer! It's very natural yet fun.

Details:
Where to buy: MAC stores & MAC online
Price: $25 [this is larger than there avg blush size, so it's totally worth it]
Description: Beauty Powder-"Alpha Girl" Blush

Tips:
This is a perfect shade for nearly anyone [I say this even though I have a tanner complexion] If you don't wear liquid foundation like me, wear a tinted moisturizer underneath followed by a light loose powder, finishing powder, or press powder [take your pick on how much coverage you want]. This way the blush has something to adhere to and also makes the color more vibrant. This is perfect shade to wear alone. Blend along your cheekbone, slightly below [this accents your cheekbone]
